Our Statement of Faith We believe… That The Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, is the infallible Word of God, inspired by God and recorded by man. The Bible is inerrant in its original writings and is the ultimate authoritative standard for everyone’s faith and life. That God is the creator and controller of the universe, and exists and reveals Himself in three persons, the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each have the same character and nature. Each is worthy of worship. That Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who was born of a virgin, and sinned not. He was crucified on the cross, and by the blood He shed, paid the penalty for our sins. Jesus rose again from the dead and sits at the right hand of God. Jesus is the Head of the Church, and we wait for His pre-millennial return for believers. That the Holy Spirit indwells the believer when the person is born again. The Holy Spirit convicts of sin, regenerates, baptizes and eternally seals all believers at the time of their salvation. That man was created in God’s image, but sinned and is separated from God as a result of sin. All men who receive the free gift of Jesus Christ as their Personal Savior are born again and eternally secure. That all born-again believers are the Church and are unified and called together to worship, fellowship with other believers, teaching, and evangelizing and using their God-given spiritual gifts for the purpose of building up the body of Christ. We also believe that such gifts as speaking in tongues and healings were limited to the early church. That both the unbelievers and believers will be resurrected from the dead; the unbeliever will receive judgment and everlasting conscious punishment, and the believer will receive everlasting glory and will receive awards according to his deeds. That all believers are called to live separated lives set apart from worldly practices, be water baptized by immersion, and regularly partake of the Lord’ s Supper as a memorial. While baptism and the Lord’s Supper do not save you, it is obedience on the part of the believer.
